i am mentally divergent

While I have been reading LJ, I haven't been participating much in terms of commenting because of graduate school slash real life. But it seems to me, in my very narrow flist reading, that there has been some debate the past few weeks over Spuffy.

As in do people who ship Spuffy side with Spike more or Buffy more? Do they hate Buffy? Do they hate Spike? Do they woobify Spike too much? I could go on and on. I love seeing these kind of debates, that we are still talking in this fandom about these things.

It really got me to thinking about Spuffy lately as I drive the 90 minutes to and 90 minutes back from campus. This is the poll I came up with, the one that I think really needs to be asked of the Spuffy fandom (and of those who think about Spuffy as a ship, positive or negative)

But what team do you think he would root for?

Thinking in a writers' room way, would they have made him a Flyers fan since David Boreanaz is a huge Flyers nut or you think they would have made him go for The Kings (or maybe The Ducks) since that would be the closest team?

What about being a basketball fan? Those games are played indoors and at night. I think he would probably be a Lakers fan, proximity and all. Or again, use DB and have Angel a fan of the 76ers (Oh poor Angelbear, he has suffered enough. At least it's not the Nets right?)

He is just such an alpha male type that I think, in my personal head canon, that he watches Sportscenter every night. He probably never goes to games because of all the people but he totally ordered a sports package from his cable provider.

I'm taking a break from my political comm paper cause I have a question for the flist, well two actually. First.

Just kind of a strange question but has anyone been to Mustang Island, Port Aransas, Texas? I was looking for a new vacation spot, someplace I hadn't been and came across this little blurb on AOLTravel.

I'm going out of town on business starting tomorrow night until Tuesday morning. I will have the laptop but sadly, no photoshop. I'm going to try to get as many holiday requests done today in between laundry and packing but this is a head's up that some stuff might be late. Okay list, I've got a little bit of a strange question for you. I know a lot of people (myself included) will watch a show because their favorite actor/actress is in it. That's how I got hooked on Greek because of Charisma's guest starring role.

My question is...does anyone else watch a show simply for the producer/writer/director/creator instead of the actors?

Getting ready for the ficathon, doing an Angel rewatch and I just realized, that we (the audience) never get told where Angel is staying after the office blows up. There are only two episodes before the gang moves into the Hyperion but that leaves the whole summer of Angel living where exactly? Assuming from the big white board they just fought the good fight all summer after Cordelia and Wes recovered, and fought it stationed out of Cordy's apartment.

But where did Angel stay in all of it? His home was sort of burnt to a crisp.

Do most people assume he just stayed with Cordy because Angel had a tendency to sleep where he worked (the office, the Hyperion, Wolfram and Hart)? Or do people assume he stayed with Wes (men staying with men as not to upset the womanfolk)? Or maybe that he got an apartment or hotel or temporary residence?
