Where did Angel stay?

Getting ready for the ficathon, doing an Angel rewatch and I just realized, that we (the audience) never get told where Angel is staying after the office blows up. There are only two episodes before the gang moves into the Hyperion but that leaves the whole summer of Angel living where exactly? Assuming from the big white board they just fought the good fight all summer after Cordelia and Wes recovered, and fought it stationed out of Cordy's apartment.

But where did Angel stay in all of it? His home was sort of burnt to a crisp.

Do most people assume he just stayed with Cordy because Angel had a tendency to sleep where he worked (the office, the Hyperion, Wolfram and Hart)? Or do people assume he stayed with Wes (men staying with men as not to upset the womanfolk)? Or maybe that he got an apartment or hotel or temporary residence?

I assumed he stayed with Cordy because AI was stationed at her apartment and because of the first couple of episodes of S2, where Angel kept going back to Cordy's apartment to regroup. And because Cordy was handing him blood in To Shanshu for LA, as if she was feeding him breakfast/lunch.

It would have been absolutely fabulous if Angel stayed at Cordy's....

But I also like the 'chasteness' of him staying with Wes so as to not upset the womenfolk.

I thought he stayed at Cordelia's. Don't quote me but I think there is an episode when after he first moves back to the Hyperion where Gunn asks why did Angel choose the old hotel and Cordelia mentions that the old hotel is a great choice mainly because it got him out of her place.

I vaguely remember a comment like that but I attributed it to meaning it got the office of her apartment. But now I want to find it and see if I can wank it into Angel having stayed with her! :)

Also, he didn't stay with Wes because he needed to be invited in during Epiphany, late s2.

Well, if you take into account the events before Epiphany, it's not too awful crazy to assume Wes did an uninvite spell. In fact, I think something like that was mentioned, but I'm really not sure :/

IIRC, that's correct.

Hence the plethora of deliciously sexy fanfic about Angel, Cordelia, and Wes living out of Cordy's apartment. :-)

For me, all signs pointed to Angel staying with Cordy. He needed an invite into Wes' apartment later in S2, so that means he wasn't staying with him. And AI was stationed out of Cordy's so he would have wanted to be there, (in case she had a vision) and I also remember Cordy's comment to Gunn about getting Angel out of her place. Then there's that part of me that spins EVERYTHING Angel/Cordy related and imagines all sorts of naughtiness during that summer... ::sigh::

Hmm, now that you mention it, that is a great question! I never really thought about that before. Maybe he did stay with Cordelia, I think that would make more sense then staying with Wesley.
