i am mentally divergent

So you might remember this past weekend I contacted stop_plagiarism about some fics that seemed oddly familiar. (Original post here).

Well, after doing some digging, stop_plagiarism has determined that orbofthesulah is a plagiarist. Now, some of you are new but in the past, I was plagiarized (I mean, I have a tag for it!). It's not fun and it's something I can't stand. That is why I do firmly believe in public shaming these people. Sometimes, it helps, they stop their stealing ways, delete their LJs, etc. Sometimes it doesn't. But to me, it's something important to note.

Here is the report on stop_plagiarism. I find her responses very telling. She clearly doesn't think that stealing is wrong (And one look at her Tumblr, that much is clear. A ton of fics posted without ANY credit or link backs)

So yes, orbofthesulah aka thegirlinquestion on Tumblr is a plagiarist. And honestly, I never would have found out if she didn't post part of a plagiarised fic on Tumblr and someone reblogged it.

If she is on your LJ or Tumblr, I would suggest deleting her right away as she stole videos and graphics as well. (Stop Plagiarism doesn't cover those, sadly). She doesn't look like she is above from stealing from everyplace she can. I've still got some other people helping me, as it seems most of her fics are stolen from other places. I'm hoping we can fatten up the case.

This isn't a report as much as a plea for help to make a report. I don't know if this is a clear cut plagarism case but orbofthesulah looks like she has been 'inspired' by some writers, even going so far as to take lines and ideas from their fics:

I sent a PM to queen_mecha but it doesn't look like they have been on LJ since 2007. I don't think they are the same author because of the different writing styles but I contacted queen_mecha any way to be sure. No response yet. queen_mecha responded and she isn't orbofthesulah.

orbofthesulah's grammar/spelling ranges so wildly on her fanfics, it looks like others might be plagarized but I'm not sure how to go about figuring out if more of them are. Is there anyone out there in the Spike/Faith, Angel/Faith, Angel/Spike/Faith circles that could help me in identifying more of them?

Speaking of horror stories, my husband and I just rescued three more kittens from the feral colony outside. They are about a month or so old. Two ginger boys, one all white female. They were trapped in between our fence and the neighbor's wall, which is about six inches. We have arbor vities that are growing from fence to house, so I was IN the tree trying to scare them out. I'm totally cut up to HALE.

So that makes, right now, fosters in our house:

3 ginger males + 1 siamese male + 1 siamese female + 2 black males + 1 grey/white female + 1 brown tabby + 1 all white female = 10 foster kittens.

Plus our dog, and our own three cats.

There were two black ones that we found and they were too old to take in and socialize. :( I wish our county had a spay/neuter, release program. I can't afford $50-100 to get all those ferals done, not to mention no vets will do them. This is Kelly's sad face. v.v. sad face.

I seriously just died and went to Heaven. What soap god did I pray to for this to happen?

First, important here but has anyone heard from americangrl69 lately? I haven't seen her on Twitter or LJ. I PMed her and nothing. She hasn't been around since late May. It's not like her to just disapoof from the net. I haven't checked her RP games to see if she has been active yet.

Second, does anyone know someplace to get a medical alert bracelet for not too much scratch? The ones online start at like $50 and even Ebay ones are like $30 with shipping and I refuse to pay $15 for shipping on something that should cost a stamp. It's not imperative but I have to get one soonish (I've been putting it off and need it before August) and I have no idea how to go about it. My doctor is in the process of moving his office and hasn't returned my calls yet. There has to be someone on my flist that has gone through this y/y?

Third, what the hell was up with that game this morning?! I swear to god, that Ref needs to be taken out into the street and shot. There was no way the US was offsides and instead of calling that, he should have called a foul. That goal should have counted. This is the one time that I wish soccer had the review feature like American football does. I noticed the commentators saying that some games have Refs behind the goal to see better. Yes, please, why can't we have that for World Cup?

So hopefully someone can answer at least one of these. I'm off to watch England probably kick Algeria's tush. :)
