xlivvielockex: (GG: Chuck/Blair)

I think most of you all know that I am ADDICTED to the fantasy league games on FaFaRazzi. It is like fantasy football, only with like stuff I actually care about.

Well, they announced the new ANTM Cycle 11 game a few weeks ago and last night I got an email in my box about the GOSSIP GIRL (OMG!) game! So here are all my current teams.

On a sidenote, I've been reading the GG books (I got them for 99 cents a piece at Barnes and Nizzow) and I can't believe that such a fantastic series came from those books. The only character that seems remotely like themselves from the books to screen is Blair. The rest of them...I have no idea. Really. This is probably the first time I've liked the television (or movie) version of a book better than the book. Write it down! It is a first!

Wow, before you posted this I always felt like I was the only book fan who hasn't been bitching about how much better the books are. I read the books before watching the series, and they appealed to me in the same way I think Twilight appeals to a lot of people (although I personally despise Twilight). None of the characters are particularly interesting or likeable (except for Blair and sometimes Vanessa, which is ironic given how much I dislike TV!Vanessa), the storylines are predictable, but somehow I can't stop reading them.

I need to get me more GG icons.

I'm so late in replying! Sorry! I didn't get the notification for this reply.

But I can't believe people like the books over the show. I liked the books but it is a totally different animals. Some of the characters in the book are so different, that it's amazing they got what they did for the TV show. Like book!Chuck. Wow. And I liked book!Vanessa but can't stand TV!Vanessa. I'm so with you there.

I read all the books in a week. They were like crack. I could see things coming, I wasn't sympathetic but I couldn't put them down.

I really want them to bring Aaron on. He was my fave book character. I wish him and Blair would have gotten together but I know that is too risky for a young adult book.

They actually did just bring Aaron on a week ago I believe... except now he's some playboy artist type and he's a childhood friend of Serena's from camp. He and Serena are going out. Totally different from book!Aaron. :(
