As far as Cordy, I was thinking she's never made a tape, only had them made for her. I was drawing from my own experience of making my first mixtape where I thought the tape recorder could pick up outside noise. Mostly because it does record voices and background noise when you press record. I figured it would just be lack of experience to know that.
