The first time Xander walked in on them, Willow and Tara thought it was by accident. He didn’t see much, just them practising a spell.
The third time he opened the door, Tara began to suspect something but Willow assured her that was just Xander being Xander. He had a habit of opening the wrong door at the wrong time.
By the fifth time, they both knew that something was going on. It was just male curiosity, right? Totally harmless.
After the tenth time, they bought a lock for the door and the Where The Boys Aren’t series for Xander.
