The thing was, the whole damn episode was POINTLESS. Buffy still died, Angel didn't stop anything. Everything that happened would have happened regardless if he was human or not.
It was such a fanservice episode and frankly, the position of the airing of the episode makes NO sense with the characterization of Angel to that point.
Then again, whenever they write Angel seeing Buffy, any characterization he has goes right out the damn window.
