Pimp: Stranger Things Valentine's Day Smut-A-Thon

samsom and I are running a St. Valentine's Day Smut-A-Thon over at Stranger Things. I wanted to post the details here, with screened comments, so even if you aren't a member of Stranger Things, you could submit a prompt. We would like a big list of smutarific C/A prompts to help inspire our writers.



THE RULES

1. Members of the Stranger Things forum will PM ideas/prompts (see below for details) to either Samsom or Livvie.
2. Members will sign up to commit to write a fic.
3. Once we have collected all the ideas/prompts, we will post the list in a separate prompt thread.
4. Writers will go to the prompt thread and select an idea or set of prompts on which to base their fic.
5. The writers will PM Samsom or Livvie with their selection. We will let them know if anyone else chose that idea or not and if they need to choose another. Once they have been been given the okay, they write.
6. Completed fics will be posted beginning Feb. 13th and run until they're all posted, of course. Hopefully, that will be by the 14th, but it's fine to keep posting after that.
7. Before the author posts their fic, we will inform her/him who provided the idea/prompts so that fic will be dedicated to that Stranger.

FIC CHALLENGES OR PROMPTS
- Everyone is invited to submit a prompt or challenge!

There are no limit to the number of prompts you may submit.

They can be in either challenge idea form or prompt form:
Prompt Form - A minimum of 3 words in a list. It can be more than 3 words if you wish
Challenge Form - Submit a plot idea in no more than one or two sentences.

Since this is a smut-a-thon for Cordelia/Angel, the fic must primarily be about them - i.e. no three(or more)somes, and no fics in which Cordelia sits in a corner watching Angel having sex with another character, and visa-versa. There's a lot of that out in the interwebs already and we want this ficathon to be about C/A.

PM your list of challenges or prompts to either Samsom or Livvie.
The deadline for idea submission is midnight, January 12th. That's roughly one month of writing time so let's get those plot bunnies hopping as fast as we can.

This is a ficathon for smut so let your freak flags fly. If there's a specific kind of kink you've always wanted to read, now's the time to submit your idea. Hopefully we will have a lot of ideas to choose from, so not everyone's prompt/challenge will be picked (but there's always next year). Due to the nature of the ficathon, if you want your prompt/challenge to remain anonymous, let us know. We're easy.

WRITERS

Please post a comment to this thread expressing your commitment to take up a challenge and write a fic.

You will then PM either Samsom or Livvie with your choice of prompts (choose your top 3 ideas in the order you prefer) and we will okay you to begin writing or let you know if that challenge is already claimed. If it is, you must choose another idea.

If, during the course of writing, you decide the prompts/idea isn't working for you, you may request another idea from the list as long as it isn't already claimed.

When you have finished your fic, inform one of us and we will let you know whose idea you chose so that you can make an acknowledgement in your fic masthead (unless they choose to remain anonymous).

You should post your fic beginning Feb. 13th but no later than midnight Feb. 15th.

Your fic MUST be primarily C/A in content, and smutty/romantic of course. It can be any genre from fluff to horror to angst to parody - whatever you're comfortable writing.

So if you have a prompt idea and are NOT a member of Stranger Things, please feel free to post it here. Comments are screened.

I'm confused (and possibly retarded): will the stories only be posted at Stranger Things? Registration is closed, how will we see them?

Anyone can still register. Penny just had to change the way we register because of the enormous amount of spambots ST was getting. Here is what she said on how to register:

For reading the stories, damnskippytoo has been updating the archive of Just Fic. So after the ficathon, they will be posted to Just Fic for nonmembers to read. :)

Ack! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. LJ wasn't sending me my comments and I didn't even notice.

We are still waiting on three people to finish their fics up and then we will have a masterlist. As soon as we get the list, I'll make sure to link it over on The Herald.
