I know I was going to pimp someone/something else but I totally forgot now. :( I'm still so tired from my weekend and the comment!fail that happened while I was working (some of you know what I'm talking about). If you don't want people to comment with opposing viewpoints, then f-lock it or ask fandom newsletters not to link to it you know?

S/he isn't even worth the time. S/he will just delete your comment and ban you from his/her LJ. Basically was calling Charisma self-absorbed and spreading all kinds of really vicious untrue things about her.

There's no call for that sort of behavior. No call whatsoever. You can dislike a character all you want, but the actors are real people and bad-mouthing them is not only crass but an insult to fandom.

And banning people from one's journal for having a differing opinion, or for defending the real person one is openly attacking is immature. It is also pure cowardice to attack someone and then refuse to engage in dialogue about such attacks. "You're only welcome here if you agree with me" is a loathsome premise that sickens me.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that sort of nonsense. So offensive!

SHUT UP! Yours is going to be so much win! I just know it. I started writing this big essay but I got this job over the weekend so money wins over fandom sadly. I figured picspam would be less brain intensive. LOL

Congrats on the job! And hey--the picspam turned out wonderfully and made me want to rewatch "You're Welcome" and also any episode where Cordy and Angel are taking care of baby Connor, so I think it's very successful!

I'm honestly thinking about talking to the Herald editors about not linking her anymore. They just linked another essay from her, and the comments are all about how Spike is amazing and Charisma Carpenter is a bitch who can't act. I'd step in (again) but I imagine she'll just delete dissenting comments -- even though we bring citations and she brings grammar problems.

Ed: And now she's making cutesy comments about how she deleted our comments last time.

DO IT! Honestly, the more people that contact them and complain, then they will actually do something. I mean, I don't think they realize what is going on because she is deleting the comments of everyone who has an opposing opinion.

I sent a PM to one of the editors and she assured me that she had no idea that this was going on, thanked me, and then said that person wouldn't be linked anymore.

I don't blame the Herald if they had no idea what was going on. Some people are just insane.
